Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Trish Rodgers, the author and illustrator behind Willowbrook Books.

Willowbrook began with Bertie Bee and gradually grew into a whole little world of friends, adventures and familiar places. Every illustration is painted by hand in watercolour, and the stories are gentle, wholesome tales about friendship, kindness and finding a little magic in ordinary things.

Picnic at Willowbrook is my first published book, but Bertie and his friends have plenty more adventures ahead of them. I hope children will come to know Willowbrook as somewhere familiar — a place they’ll want to visit again and again.
